Kirby Kelly can jam the blues! I don't remember ever hearing this guy before but he sounds pretty darn good on both lap steel and bottle neck.

Awesome player...I met him a few years back here in Phoenix...nice guy!
He was playing with Bugs Henderson...he told me that Maurice Anderson was a personal friend and that he was building him a new MSA pedal steel...Maurice later said that he was.
Bet he's tearin' that thing up by now!! :whoa:

i dunno...i guess it's ok...but i much preferred listening to the singer's guitar playing, which i thought was great.

the single note sustaining blues stuff is kind of lacking to me. i always am hoping to find a steel tuning that allows more options for some of the guitar chord voicings that make the blues sound like what it is. any ideas?

Obviously the guy on the Strat was the star of the show but Kirby Kelly is living proof that lap steel goes beyond hillbilly and Hawaiian stuff. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
