I have an mid 50's sunburst 8 string double neck. Any ideas on what it might be worth? Good Shape....
I've had it since I was 8. Not for sale, just interested.

Thanks.....

If it's a Gibson Console Grande like this one, I bought a 53' in near mint condition a few years ago before the economy got bad and paid around $1400 for it.

I just purchased a 49-50 Gibson Console Grande just like yours. It was advertised here on SGF. It looks almost new like yours. I paid ll00 dollars plus freight from Canada. They dont make them like ours anymore. Lee

I bought mine in 1953 and it came with a pedal, albeit a homemade pedal, but it gave me that Webb Pierce sound. It cost me $175. The outside neck is tuned to E7th, the inside neck to A Major (of course!!!!). When I depress the pedal the 2nd and 3rd string on the outside neck come up to the C# and A giving me the A Major also, but the coming and going is that old pedal sound.

I can't seem to be able to upload any pictures to the Forum recently, when I click on "Upload Picture", I get a snapping sound and a yellow icon that looks like a little explosion or a yeallow maple leaf. Does anybody have any idea why this is????

Geo
