Maurice Anderson.....

Post by David Wright »

Spend the morning with Maurice today, just had to record theses two things, we were talking about playing songs with no bar, and just how much is right under your Nose, in clip 2, just a ol Faded Love, played with some really nice corn & Cords... As many of you know and have scene at the dallas show, he plays a D-10, well, he's on the Bb 6th ..so much on this tuning, I must say, after 40 years of playing it, I only know a tenth of what is there...
I only wish all could spend the time with Maurice, one on one, and just sit and hear to him play, I hope you all enjoy this little bit of playing as much as I did today :D :D :D :D

Thanks for putting that up David. Maurice never ceases to amaze me with his technique and his huge knowledge of music. Hope he's at St. Louis this year. By the way, what day are you coming into town?

I've got more knowledge in his little finger than he's got in my whole body.

David, Thanks. I would love to have a copy of Reece doing a full blown version(solo) of Maiden's Prayer.
That was great taste and style.

Thanks David. I know how you feel. I spent an afternoon with Maurice a couple of years ago. I thought I knew a little about steel guitar. After that day I realized how little I knew. It made me want to put the guitar in the case and put it about 6 feet under the apple tree in my back yard. He was a great host and teacher. I hope to go back soon.

I love that Vintage XL also. My kingdom for a Vintage XL. :D
