I know I'm late to the game on this. They're rerunning a Soundstage on PBS from last Feb., Willie Nelson with Russ on his 2-pickup, 2-pedal Show-Pro (I think). The thing that kills me is that sometimes you'd swear there was a reso up there, then all of sudden it's a PSG. Amazing, and I think it's just where his right hand is picking, closer or farther away from the bridge. Of course Russ has been one of my heroes for over 30 years since he started up here in the frozen Northland.

Michael, I watched the show last night.Russ was at the top of the game. As all the artists on that program were.

The steel was buried in the mix. That part was REALLY annoying, but Russ played his TAIL off. Sounded awesome. Very hard to fit into a musical picture like that, but he nailed it.
Enjoyed Dennis Crouch on upright bass too!
