I thought this might be of interest to you collectors out there. I have absolutely no connection to the Ebay auction. http://tiny.cc/c0ezb

Next time I win the lottery I'll think about it.

By the way, I don't buy tickets which makes it extremely unlikely that I'll win. :D

I think that has been up there for a while.

Alan - I seem to recall that a UC Berkeley mathmatics professor determined that (for all practical purposes) the odds of winning the lottery (in CA at least) was about the same, regardless if you bought a ticket or not. ...which is about the same as me buying a Bigsby in this life.

No wonder these things don't sell:
...too many zeros
...misplaced coma
...misplaced decimal

RIGHT ON RICK.... 3 DIGITS OR BEGINNING OF 4. In my opinion. Lee

I thought that one sold for $16K, last spring.

Yes, Chas, that was Bob Tucker. And six others have sold for between $12,000 and $17,000 in 2010 so far.

12,000 to 17,000 seems more reasonable to me. With this economy I would think disposable income is way down.

Can't say I've ever heard one, but it better be out of this world for tone for the wild price. I doubt that it is....

Are they really that good, or is it just the name that brings big bucks?

Often wondered about those.....

<comma> - although the price is coma-inducing for me... :)

These auctions really highlight what a bargain a new Clinesmith is, if that's the tone you're after.

John, thanks for noting my typo.
I've played a Bigsby and don't like the sound __ and, there are better investments.

Absolutely! I have the credit cards paying me.
Harrah's Bank of America card has a great point system.
Charge only to this card, pay it off each month and use the points.

ALAN is also a better investment.
(ALAN) stock symbol for Alanco Technologies. :D

Some great players have played Bigsbys.
The sound is just not for me.

This is Marty Smith's Bigsby. He played it back at the Guitar Geek Festival 2008 It's hard to hear on the video (probably the amp he used was not properly miked) but he played the sweetest chords in the background. I was really impressed with his touch and taste and its a shame we couldn't hear him better.

"No Reasonable offer refused" I know he has been ill and hope he is doing all right. Wish I could spare the money!
