Can anyone tell me what size pull rods are threaded on Emmons LL2?, Also are they the same industry wide?

The rods that go from the bell cranks to the changer tuners are 5-40 threads. That is not a typo, it really is 5-40.
I can't answer about the same industry wide. However, Emmons Legrande II and Zums are the same. Maybe someone who works on other brands can answer that question for you.
I had to special order a tap and die combo in that size to thread the rods.

The threads on my Zum are 5-40 as mentioned. Just received a die from Enco last night, one inch round die, high speed steel, <$8.00. |

I have made a couple rods for Emmons and Derby Steels. They use 7/64 rods and 5-40 is the thread size. Welding rods are not made in this size. Used Drill Rod to get the right rod to make them. |
