If someone could help me out with this I would sure appreciate it.

I've got a Sho-Bud Pro iii Custom, and i've got some serious buzzing coming from the roller portion of the nut on my 6th string. I tried shoving a note card in the little gap there, but i've found it a whole new challenge to play with a note card sticking up out of the "nut region."


Thoughts?

Hi, try some cup grease or 10w30 oil sometimes that helps with buzzing noise

Lee...maybe you call it different, what i meant by that is some tick grease they use for shaft or bearing, i use it on nut axle and bridge axle mix with some light oil and it seems to work nicely, but don't put too much it just need to fill the loosness in between the nuts.

Pressing down on uneven strings can lead to a sore wrist or worse.

Are the rollers individually guaged for each string ? If not that one may be worn or the string may be wobbling back ad forth when vibrating . If the rollers are guaged then a different sixed string may be the problem . Guaged rollers work best . Be sure to also check where the string bends over at the changer . Sometimes a string will have too long of a wrap and causes buzzing . AND in some cases on older guitars a tiny groove is worn where the string bends over at the changer end . That can cause buzzing also . I would inspect that very closely just in case . Sometimes you can "very lightly" sand out a little groove but be careful not to go too far . If it's very bad it would have to be replaced.
