Can anyone tell me why my Special 130 POP'S like crazy when I switch on and off when I have the QPA2604's in , yet when I have the factory 4558's in I don't have the problem???????

Had the same issue with them and put the factory chips back in. Not sure why, but they do draw more current and actually can get into oscillation in some of the early amps! Check the DC supply voltages on the IC chip pins. If it is oscillation it will draw them down

You might do a lot better with the OPA4132PA chips, they sound better and draw less current
