I picked up a used Profex (not the Profex II, but the original)was wondering if anybody would like to share some settings with me. I'm playing through a Session 500 with a Williams 600 guitar. (Bill's own pickups as I recall)

Thanks guys. I downloaded the manual the other day. I found Jeff Newman settings listed on Jack Stoners site. I think I'll start there, but if anyone has a setting they like, feel free to let me know.
I guess I need to crack it open and look at how to put the batteryless mod in it. _________________ 76 Emmons Push Pull, Williams 600, ShoBud Pro I, MSA Classic, Remington SteelMaster dbl 8, MSA Super Slide dbl 8, Gold Tone 6, And other instruments and equipment I can't afford. |

Its easy, Ken sends real good instructions along with the chip and its a quick job....get the Burr Brown chips. it will improve the sound of the unit. I just did mine and its makes a big difference. Good Luck |

I have been using proccessors for a very long time, I personally have never used a 'factory preset'
The first thing i do, is learn to dial it in and make my own tones, which can be time consuming. Learning to tweak the dials on the fly is important too for live work. _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |

I don't use mine for EQ, I use it for slap delay. Approx 300 MS at about 40% mix... I wrote a new patch , edited out everything else and saved it with an appropriate title. I also wrote a patch for a very "over-driven" sustain. I wrote the patch with the volume pedal at approx 50 or 60 %, so I do not have to kill the audience with a full pedal.
The best feature about the PROFEX ( original) is the headphones out ! You can tune and practice on the bandstand in private.
nice unit
