Lilly Wilde is the singer.

(edited)

No Link. No Songs. Things have changed.

Lilly seemed to think that Pete "put me up to posting them for his own self aggrandisement", so I sadly took them down. This on 12 June '03

Appearantly they have been looking for another Steel Player, and though I was asked, I canned it after a couple conversations with "the band". Among the other reasons, I didn't believe I would fill the bill, playing wise.

These things often happen with bands, and I've got to hand it to Pete B. He didn't have anything bad to say about the band. His new family situation made it impossible to make a couple of gigs, and it soured whatever "original agreement" that was "laid down".

It is my sincere hope that he finds a better band to play with that is more suited to his professionalism, ability, and demeanor.

I'm sure he will.

Now me, on the other hand....

Just finished listening to all of the clips and there's some truly fine music here! Pete just keeps getting better and better. The guitar player really cooks and I hear shades of Les Paul mixed in with his Tele licks. Lilly Wilde sings great and this is well worth taking the time to download.

Damn shame...

fun stuff- I'm glad I DLd 'em while I could- Lilly is ok, (not unlike sveral other Wanda Jackson wannabe's, sveral of whom I've played for) but PETE deserves agrandisement, self or not....

hope to hear more better different from pete

DVA. Yup. You got it all about right. I don't remember him even asking me to post it. I was the one that asked him if I could.

I liked the "negative side" quote on the other topic board.

I've always liked the "isolated" sound from sierras a little less than the SBs until I heard Pete. His guitar/amp choices and expecially his playing just plain sparkles. A Lot of it is his technique. You'd think he was a lefty the way he handles that bar.

He also doesn't sit home waiting for a "gig that's worthy of his skills". I don't think he was "out of a gig" for more than a week, and is working with a couple bands that I know of besides his full time day gig. That's the formula I follow, for better or worse.

Yup. It CAN happen, even in a town where there are "no gigs".

Who knows who will be "coming to a Safeway Grand Opening" near you.

Or the local Moose.

...OR a National Act..

Sic 'em, I say.
