The Florida Steel Guitar Club's July 2003 Meeting/Steel Jam will be Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at 6PM. Location is Catfish Johnny's Restaurant, CR470, Lake Panasoffkee, Fl. (our regular meeting/jam place).
The club is open to all interested Steelers and those interested in Steel Guitar. There are no club membership fees and no admission fees to the club meetings/jams.
For those that will be traveling to Florida, the club holds monthly Meetings/Steel Jams the second Wednesday of each month. Lake Panasoffkee is exit 321 on I75, approximately 60 miles west of Orlando and about the same distance north of Tampa. We welcome all visitors. The club meeting announcement and a map showing Catfish Johnny's location is on Jack Stoner's web page.
Details for the upcoming FSGC 1st Anniversary show on September 13th will be presented at this time and on later post.
Thanks.
Don

No,the Quarterman cone should be here Tuesday and hopefully I can make the change and bring the dobro to the jam on Wednesday.
See you there.

Jack,Blake and myself would like to thank all the 10 pickers who played last night at out July Jam.And Bob Rees who did such a fine job on "I'm So Lonesome I could Cry" on his harmonica.
We had a great time and it was enjoyed by all who attended. Our Flordida Steel Guitar Club is growing in size faster than we had ever imagined. There are pickers all over this state who are finding out we exist from pickers they know and each month we see two or three new players at our jams. It's nice to see and all it cost them is their friendship.
See you next month on the 13th.
Don

Right you are Blake.
What's a little S between friends?
No talent, come anyways, we need a good laugh.
Just kidding of course.
Come on down. You'll have a good time.

Jerry,

You are welcome to come and play.

We all enjoy steel guitars, the music and talking about it.

Bring your wife too. It's a family affair.

Although the meeting/jam officially starts at 6, many of us get there at 4 in order to allow plenty of time to eat and set up.
