A great show.. I believe every song on the show (besides the acoustic set) was a Hag tune!! Marty did a great job on 'national anthem'.. Always loved the tune 'running man' -- what a great opening number.

Each week I say "how can this show get any better?", and each week it does. Now this week was the tops, with even Leroy singin' one of my favorite Merle songs.
How can it get better next week. I heard Emmylou is on next week, I think I've already died and gone to heaven. _________________ http://www.oldbluesound.com/about.htm

This show is getting better if that's possible. Marty is up there playing Hank William's Martin! First time I really liked Leroy Troy. He sang "The Old Man From The Mountain". Haggard was just crack'n up when he did it. My girl friend #1 Patty Loveless is coming up also. |

It's only on RFD-TV and it's the best (the only?) traditional country music show on TV these days. |

I just got to watch it on my DVR. We were all up there grinning like a bunch of mules in a briar patch. I have to be honest, it was hard to hide my enthusiasm. I have played shows with Hag over the years, but getting to play behind "THAT" voice, singing "THOSE" songs. I keep telling Marty and the guys about the wonderful stuff you all are posting on here. They all said to tell you a great big "Thanks". We have already been asked to do a season 3. I will keep everyone posted whenever that gets underway. It will be later in the year I do know that. |

The second that Haggard started singing it was like magic. It was Haggard the LEGEND. The golden voice. |

Funny thing here, The show started and as Marty was singing "the runnin' kind" , I saw that Telly sitting there and I said, I wonder if Merle is tonight's guest.
Hag looks great and sounded great even after all the health problems he's had recently.
We all love the Marty Party ! |

Yes, Hag's voice was relaxed and beautiful.
Marty's band always inspires me with their musicianship.
And Marty himself, Wow. He just gets better and better. Singing, playing, emceeing.
Marty's show is right up there with, IMHO, the greatest country TV ever, the Flatt & Scruggs show.
Years ago, at the beginning of his career as a frontman, I interviewed Marty for a magazine article. It's a pleasure to see how he has continued to grow.

IMO, Marty is the best friend country music (that is what we all think of as country music) has at this very moment in time. |

Paul, anyone who views the show will agree with you 100%..Week after week the shows continues to provide what Country music is suppose to be about..Your Harmonies are as good or better than anything that comes out of a Nashville studio..Love the way Marty and Connie and the Band truly show and add respect to the Music..And not enough can be said for the musicianship of all the superlatives..They may have buried Country Music alive, but they can't kill it with a great show like the Marty Stuart show provides..And I believe it is amongst RFD's top rated shows..The last song I wrote before I gave up performing was "Country music didn't Die,But they buried it alive"..You guys renew the hope of many each week. |

Paul, your consistently fine and tasteful playing and singing is a treat to hear. I especially appreciate your ability to double on string bass and electric bass guitar.
All the Superlatives--you, Kenny Vaughn and Harry Stinson--set the standard. Gary Carter, Connie Smith, Leroy Troy: Words fail me.
Keep it going, Brother. You and the whole team are very much appreciated. |

Paul
I have to agree with everyone else.
Marty is keeping county music
alive and I know you are glad
to be part of such a well oiled machine
like the Superlatives.
