Is anyone using the BOSS DD7 Delay Pedal?

I purchased this pedal so that I can hopefully get a better sound from my steel like a better sustain. Before it has always sounded blunt and didn't have the ring that it should. I wondered if anyone is using this pedal, what would be the best settings to get a clean sound? PS: I do understand that it wouldn't hurt for me to try to improve my playin

Hey John,

I just switched from a DD-3 to the DD-7. Main reason was to utilize the Analog setting on the DD-7. So far so good, I like it.

The settings I use are all buttons at 11 o'clock and the 4th one on Analog.

I'm sure you'll get more professional input, I'm just a beginner so they may not be the best for what you are looking for.

Hi Keith, I'm also new at this type of pedal and the posibilities are endless. I thank you for your input, I wish now that I had bought this pedal a few years back because it is a must have effects pedal. Thanks again.

I got a dd7 and I am experimenting with it too. I had other delays but they were old or did not work.
I think the analog is going to be the best setting to use. I'm sure there are more pickers using this that are more in the know than me.

Hi Guys,
Have any of you ever tried the DD-20. It's stereo and does it all.
It's the only effect I ever use now, and I love the sounds I get.
The price is a bit high, but I think it's the best I've ever had.
I'm not a great player, but other players always comment on the
pretty sound and nice sustain I always have. If I didn't have this,
I don't really think they would even care to listen to my playing.

Probably no one wants to listen to me play whether I have an effects or not. My playing probably Affects them and they wish I would use a delay so they could postpone having to listen.

I have the DD-7 and I like it. The digital part is exactly like the DD-6 that I also own but to use the tap temp on the DD-6 you have to hold the pedal down for a few seconds and then tap the tempo in. With the DD-7 you can use a momentary switch and plug it into the unit and just tap the tempo in. Very cool
