What is the "stagecoach" part of the festival? I'm unfamiliar with the event.

Out in Coachella Valley California, in the mojave desert near Indio(Date capital of the world), they've been having this BIG music festival that has been going on since 1999. It's mostly rock, alternative, pop, and hip hop. The thing has become so big (this year they had 5 stages running over 4 days and 250,000+ attendance) then a few years ago the promoters and staging crew decided to try and do a country music festival the following weekend and the call it "Stage Coach Country Music Festival".
That way they could set up all the stages, tents, vendors, and such for a couple of weekends and try to increase their profit margin.
This years Stage Coach Festival was a two day event with three stages and had over 50,000 a day in attendance.
Here was the line-up for the past weekend at StageCoach:
Saturday
Keith Urban
Sugarland
Billy Currington
Phil Vassar
Joey + Rory
Merle Haggard
Ray Price
Nick 13
BJ Thomas
Bobby Bare
Baxter Black
Waddie Mitchell
Trampled by Turtles
Victoria Williams
Sunday
Toby Keith
Brooks & Dunn
Jason Aldean
Heidi Newfield
'Jon Linn Band
The Oak Ridge Boys
Bill Anderson
Little Jimmy Dickens
The Avett Brothers
Firefall
Chuck Mead
Mary Gauthier
Carlene Carter
Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver
Black Prairie
Truth & Salvage Co.

My daughter has been a regular for the r'n'r one. This year she was there representing Harmon electronics. She never told me there was a country version a week later. I will remember that next year.

I was playin' steel for 'Nick 13'. It was a lot of fun, and not too hot. It was like Woodstock for the NASCAR folks!

If Merle Haggard was there, I'm sure Norm Hamlet was playin' steel for him.

Sirius/XM Outlaw Country is doing a rebroadcast of Merle's set, from last weeks Stagecoach fest, in about 40 minutes if anyone out there want's to hear it. They are going to play it again tomorrow morning.
