The vibrato sounds like Alan Akaka, but I'm not sure if it's him. Well done tune. That gal really belts it out!!

Sounds like Janice and Joanne Williams singing, with Joanne on a National steel guitar.

Yup, I think you nailed it Don. After listening a few times it sure does sound like them. Nice vibrato with the bar on that tune.

By the way, Janice and Joanne Williams are members of the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Assn
and the Aloha International Steel Guitar Club.

We are all steel guitar brothers and sisters in these clubs. Cool

What I wouldn't give to have a rythm guitar player amongst my friends that could strum like that. WOW!!

Ray,

I guess you could attend either of the club conventions and request Janice Williams the rhythm player to back you. Winking

The Williams twins started playing together when they were quite young I understand. I repaired the case for that steel guitar a few years ago. The T8 National sure sounded nice didn't it ! Very Happy

I still have great difficulty figuring out which is Janet and which is Janice...identical twins with a lot of talent. I have many fond memories attending the AISGC Winchester bashes and enjoying their contribution....also, who could ever forget (the late) Norman English and his {Victor Borge} style of comedy on the steel guitar !!! Fun times, to be sure!

I never could figure out which was which. I always asked when I talked to one of them. Very Happy
