Help with Pot replacement Goodrich L-120

This is probably a stupid question, but I can't seem to figure out how to take the pedal apart to reach the old pot. Unlike the Goodrich 120, once you remove the plate on the underside, the pot is still not accessible. It appears that you need to remove the top of the pedal but I don't know how to remove the pivot pin. Am I missing something here?
thks, Dennis

Pot is easy to change on my L-120s when I remove the plate on the underside. What is interfering with yours?

It's not the string winding that I have a problem with, its simply how to remove the pot. Here are some pics once you remove the bottom plate. As you may be able to see, the bracket is mounted from the top down. I would need to remove the top of the pedal to get to the screws that hold it in place.
thanks for the responses, dennis

Dennis, There are no screws holding the pot in place. You just need to remove the string and the post that it's wrapped on from the pot shaft. Then unscrew the nut that is holding the pot to the mounting bracket. The pot should slide right out so you can get to it easily.

On my Goodrich pedal there's a set screw that holds the axle in place. Loosen that and push the axle out and you can get the top and bottom pieces apart and have better access to the pot.

Thanks Bob and Peter, never thought to remove the pot that way. I had taken the screw out of the shaft holding the top and bottom together but then I was stumped. Never thought to just tap the shaft out at that point, duh! Anyway, thanks again all, problem solved.

Jim Palenscar gets the credit for telling me about the set screw when I had the same problem.
