Vote On ACM Awards

If you don't have a favorite new artist, I would like to encourage those of you who will, to take a few minutes to vote for "Joey And Rory" on the ACM awards, to be aired on TV Sunday. The steel guitar forum is like a brotherhood, and united with all it's members, can be a powerful influence in the music industry. I want to thank Bob and those that play a part in providing us the forum. Also, it includes all musicians, not just steel guitarist. I recently moved to Tennessee, and Joey and Rory are my neighbors and friends. They are very friendly and talented singers, and song writers. At this time, Rory also has the # 1 song on country radio, which he wrote. It is sung by Eric Corbin. They sing traditional country and bluegrass music, and still use steel guitars, dobro's, mandolins and fiddle's on their recordings. A lot of the newer artist sound more like rock and role, as I've seen many of you discuss on the forum. Now's a chance to voice our opinions that we want more traditional country music, with fiddle's and steel guitars on the cd's. Let's vote in the artist's that support our choice of instruments, that we play. Joey and Rory are friendly people. If you are ever in the Nashville area, stop in Marcy Jo's mealhouse, in Columbia, Tennessee and have breakfast with us. Joey and Rory, along with Rory's sister, Marcy own the cafe. Joey and Rory are usually there, when not on the road, and some of us retirees eat with them regularly. Be sure and try the ELVIS CAKE. They will even pour you a cup of coffee. A lot of artist's are too busy to even talk to common folks, much less pour you a cup of coffee. Marcy Jo's mealhouse has a website you can visit, with pictures and the history of the resturant. So let's support traditional country music. Go vote for Joey and Rory.
