Hopefully this hasn't been posted and answered already I hate being the one creating redundancy.
My daughter bought BIAB 2013 for me for Christmas and I am learning how to use it.
I have some songs that I have downloaded from a website that makes karaoke backtracks that I practice with simply for doing chord practice on my lap steel.
When I download any of these songs into BIAB they automatically get downloaded into Audio Chord Wizard, I assume this is what is supposed to transpire so it's not a problem. I then send them to BIAB and when I play them the chord chart does not move in sync with the music sound being generated almost from the get-go.
I also noticed yesterday that when I play any of these these songs in Audio Chord Wizard that the same problem develops but it develops over the span of the song as the song is progressing and not from the beginning of the song. As the song progresses the chord chart that is displayed on the monitor becomes slightly off and out of sync with the song by the time the song ends.
Is this problem because I am playing something that is pre-recorded and not made in BIAB?
Thanks for any insight
The Lord Bless

The short answer is "YES".
In the Audio Chord Wizard you can sync the audio to the bar indicators using the "F" keys on the keyboard. Learning how to use the chord wizard will get you on the right track.
When you get beyond the audio chord wizard and play the track in BIAB, it actually plays the audio version from your wav/mp3 file. You can enable BIAB styles and disable the Audio and BIAB will play the chords to whatever style you select. _________________ Justice The Judge SD-10, 2007

Hey Pete, is their a secret to syncing the beat in the ACW. I have put in some songs to get chords, and I have a heck of a time picking the right 1 beat. The biab song seems to always have the chord pattern a little off from the beat of the song.
Do you use the lower chord chart lines or the wav lines?
and which line along the pattern. Thanks. _________________ heavily medicated for your safety |

Once you decide where beat 1 is, just click it with your mouse rather than trying to time it with the "F" keys. _________________ Justice The Judge SD-10, 2007
