Hi,

My name's Raphael McGregor, I play lap steel in Brooklyn. Done a lot of freelancing, recording and touring including with greats like Willie Nelson, Darol Anger and Michael Manring, Adam Levy and Mat Munisteri, and also play around town a lot working bands like the Moonlighters and a great new Western Swing band that plays every Monday at Banjo Jim's.

I'm giving a workshop at Jalopy and just wanted to pass it on to you or anyone you think might be interested. We'll start basic and see how far we can get in two hours, hoping to get up to bending behind the bar! Below is the link to the Jalopy website with a more complete blurb and directions to Jalopy.

Thanks,

Raphael

If I wasn't going to Captiva Island this weekend I'd be there in a heart beat. Hope you have another.

Are you going to focus on a particular tuning?

Yes--I use a C6 so I'll be focusing on that but I think the left hand technique stuff should be fairly applicable to most tunings. (Hopefully I haven't put my foot in my mouth by saying that)

Thanks!
