I had the unit fixed at Peavey in Febuary and it worked perfectly before shipped. I am in no way saying that it was not fixed properly or trying to put any blame on anyone here but just looking for suggestions as to get it going again.
I sold it and shipped it to Australia and there is a difference in the voltage . Here is the email I got and I hope someone can help with some answers to get it going again. I am hoping it is something simple but I want to make sure the buyer got what he paid for and that was a working unit.
Finaly Got A Stepdown Power Supply For It. Turns On Lights Up NO SOUND And Displays DSP Interface Error, Has Ac Hum, Freezes When Changing Presets. Lights Up Signal Input (Flashes Red To Green With Signal) No Output Sound No Headphone Sound Also. What Do You Want To Do? I Can Send It To A Good Tech Here If You Cover Costs
Thanks for any help , Scott _________________ "The Oddball" A MSA Keyless with pedals to the right. |

First thing to try is a Reset. When powering on, hold the Down and Right Arrow buttons then power it on and it will Reset.
Other than that, I would have to question what AC (mains as they call it) power was applied to the unit. |

Mike Brown and Jack had the same suggestion and he has tried the reset and here is the latest email.
I Reset The Unit (Loosing The Jeff Newman Settings)And It Has Got Worse. It Freeses, And Shows The Following; Address Complement Mask : 000000, Audio Memory Failed Count=000102, DSP Interface Error Reseting System,Memory Bits Failed Mask:000000, Parram Out Of Range Auto Correcting. The Signal Light Is Shimoring Red. I Had It Working Last Knight For 20 Seconds Then Nothing.
Shipping is extremely high to Australia for some resaon and was like double to other places I checked on. Shipping back to Peavey is not going to be a option. _________________ "The Oddball" A MSA Keyless with pedals to the right. |

I'm thinking along the same lines as Jack. The power supply could have been damaged by the high mains voltage there.
I think a tech needs to look at it. I would ask for the phone number and talk to him personally. If high mains voltage was the cause, the buyer should pay. _________________ Best regards,

Sounds like you may have defective RAM (random access memory). I would send it to the Peavey Repair Center in Mississippi |

Shipping is high . It was about 100.00 to ship there. So back here and then back there you would be looking at about what it brought. For some reason shipping was about twice as hight to Australia as anywhere else I checked on .
Anyone know of someone over there ? _________________ "The Oddball" A MSA Keyless with pedals to the right. |

Ken, that's what I suggested too. We never manufactured a 220 volt version of this product due to the high costs involved to certify an export voltage version. That also puts a "kink" in the whole situation too. |

Unless it's sent to a Peavey repair center, for repair, you will never know if it was "exposed" to high AC voltage, even if accidentally.
The loss of the Newman Profex II programs is not a big loss as I never found them to be of any value on my TransTube Fex and the reason I developed my own that used the analog "TB" preamp. |
