Steel jam/meeting in Oslo, Norway?

Refering to some other topics on the Forum lately about a steelmeeting in Scandinavia.

My friend Sveinung Lilleheier and I have talked about arranging a steel-jam/meeting here in Oslo, and we would like to see if anybody would be interested in attending. We where thinking of the last weekend in August or one of the first in September (not Scotty's weekend). This will have to be a low-cost arrangement, concentrating on jamming and getting together (nothing like the big festivals).

We will hire a place in the Oslo-area where we can stay all weekend. We will bring a backingband and PA, and it will be mostly up to you what will happen. We can agree on forehand on certain songs you want to play or if you are willing to give a lecture on something. The rest of the time we will "drink and play". We should be able to arrange a place to sleep at a low price.

The question is: WOULD ANYONE SHOW UP? If we have enough positive feedback we will go on making the arrangements.

I`ll be there, just say when and where.
I like the "drink and play" part.

Uwe, I have been to Copenhagen 3 times and certainly know the drink and play thing there!

I like tha town even in winter/ early spring.

If this thing comes together and it does not coincide with Scotty`s convention maybe I`ll
get to meet you and some of the other great guys who like to share what they have learned from the steel over the years.
That would be great....

Sorry for my belated reply as to Hattfjelldal.
The hotel situation up there is yet unresolved, so the Hattfjelldal event is on hold for this year.
The hotel is a pivotal place since that´s where our accommodation is and since that´s where the popular post show night clubs are held.
However, Hattfjelldal will be back.
