The L.A. jam has grown so big (we had 21 players on Saturday) that, along with a couple of other players, I've decided to break it down into 3 or 4 separate jams held in various parts of the area throughout the year.
The single most difficult aspect of putting this together was finding a location. The acoustics of the room we've been using leave a lot to be desired, (I'm going to talk to the owner of the restaurant about putting up some sound absorbing drapes,) but the fact that the the restaurant donates use of the room for free is a pretty big incentive to continue to us to hold the jam there. Other places have asked as much as $1,200 per day for the use of their rooms.
One of our fellow forumites has agreed to look around for a facility in the Inland Empire. I need somebody to do the same in the West San Fernando valley or east Ventura county area, and in the area between the south bay,San Pedro,Long Beach, and north Orange Country.
Anybody in these areas who is willing to help out, please E-mail me. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

There's a great venue in San Pedro where I live, Mike. I taught my classes there, and am pretty tight with the owner, I'll see what kind of deal he's willing to do.
Probably only on a Sunday, their Saturdays are generally booked with dance classes, it's a dance school/performing arts space, but excellent acoustics and great vibe overall. Lots of top jazz combos are playing there regularly. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION
