Attended a great western swing show Sat. afternoon in Magnolia at the opera house that included Leon Rausch, Floyd Domino, Clyde Brewer and the River Road Boys with Dusty Stewart on steel and my old pal Harlan Kubose on bass. Super show. There was a three piece group on the show(guitar, a lady fiddler, and acoustic bass) that was super good. Brought back a lot of old memories when I was learning to play steel. If you get the opportunity to see this show, you will be glad you did. Thanks to Joe Brewer for bringing this super show to Magnolia. Jody. |

Could the trio have been "Hot Club of Cowtown"? Elana Fremerman, Whit Smith, and a bass player? |

Jody, you need to let us know about these things before they happen. I couldn't have made this one anyway because I was playing with Dottie Jack, Fred Jack, Dave Biller, Karen Biller, & Leon Hinton in Bay City that night.
Steve, I think Elana Fremerman goes by Elana James now. What a great fiddler and vocalist! |
