Well, I guess I'm the proud owner of the "First" Beard 8 string reso,,,,I bought it at the Dallas show and let me tell you,,,it is fantastic!!!! Besides sounding AWESOME,,,it is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I would post some pictures but they would not do it justice.

I bought it with the intentions of selling it when I get my other "conversion" project finished,,,but now I'm not too sure I will part with it,,,,however,,,since I'm not an active "pro" player, it will probably eventually wind up in the hands of an active player!!!

Someone posted a picture of Howard standing beside the guitar that is a much better shot of the guitar,,,but I can't find it now. It has what I would call a "tobacco burst" finish,,,very rich looking,,,just beautiful!!!!

Thanks Sonny....

I shoulda put the guitar up for auction on Ebay Laughing . We flew in the only other example the next day.

Just a wee clarification. That is actually PBS8 designed by Paul for Gold Tone! Paul has been hand crafting 8 stringers since 1985..selling for considerably more $$$$

That guitar is just amazing. Thanks for picking it up at Dallas!!

Howard

Hey Howard,,,thanks for that clarification,,,yes,,it IS a Gold Tone,,,,,the first of the new line of resos,,,and a real credit to both Paul Beard and Gold Tone!!!!!! Thanks again to you, and Paul,,and Gold Tone. I can't say enough about it. I'm sure when they hit the market later this year they will be an overwhelming success! Glad I got the first one,,,,maybe "I" should auction it off on ebay ($$$$$),,LOL!!!!

I'm the proud owner of the second one. I'm still waiting on its arrival since I didn't know if I could have flown back with it. It should arrive anyday now. I had always wanted to try one and as soon as I did it was a done deal. Lucky my wife was not around until after Howard ran my CC.
