Could I get some simple examples of using this KL(RKR) for a half & whole lower for beginners and some theory on why it was put on the steel to start with and who used it first. I am posting this for a friend of mine that don't have a computer, I will have to make copies of this post and fax it to him, he is a new player and has discovered he has this knee lever and is not satisfied with what I have sent him. His copedent is a standard Emmons setup on his beginners steel. All post will be helpful, maybe Paul Southerland and Dick Sexton can jump on this for me. Thanks,,,,,,,, Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Arrow Gary

Gary: I don't mean to be ignoring you. I only have the half tone lower so can't give any insights on the full tone lower. I've been thinking about how I use the lever and what I might put onto a video for you regarding the half tone lower. But I can't get around to actually recording the video for probably a couple weeks. Hope you can wait. Paul

Gary
the half tone serves as a 7th it is the same as string 9 when lowered. listen to some mel streets intros and breaks you will hear this being used, also 1/2 could be heard on buck owens sams place for that 7th chord. now the full tone it matches the 5th string c# when the A pedal is down and you do a full lower it is also a C# you can hear this being used in a lot of Ray Price songs like healing hands of time and many other uses
