I've been working unsuccessfully on my friend's Kay round neck reso. I made a great new saddle but the notes at the 12th fret were sharp. It measures 25" from nut to saddle but 12.75" from nut to the 12th and 12.25" from the saddle to the 12th. Anyone ever see this irregularity? Anyway to correct the sharpness? I've been getting some information from a few forum members but just found out the distance before when they suggested I measure it.

thanks, Ron

Just stating the obvious...
the instrument was made incorrectly... the frets are not in the right place for the scale length

The 12.75" to the 12th fret would make it a 25.5" scale. I saw an offset spider bridge for $50. Sounds like this would correct the intonation problem.
