PedalSteel.us Contest

Well, the magazine made it to San Diego today (March 31) but not up to Anaheim (where I live), which is 90 miles north of San Diego. Following up on a comment Billy Easton made, lets see who wins the contest of getting the first issue last! As of March 31, I am still in the "contest". Anybody else?

Billy Easton--- looks like we are neck and neck in "winning" the contest. Is Apache Junction the same distance from you that San Diego is from me? Speaking of today's mail,I got my PSGA newsletter today. The cover story on you is great!

Terry-- I can't speak for Billy Easton, but if I "win" the contest, and get on the cover, the magazine will tank right after that issue!

so is there a 'handicap' system for those who live closer? After all, if say someone living in DC gets theirs the same day as someone in Oregon, both being the 'last 2 to receive' on the same day, I think the guy in DC should be the winner, after all, the postals did a better job of losing something in transit 6 horus away, vs, 60 *laugh*...
seriously though, I keep checkin the mailbox... the anticipation reminds me of being a kid at christmas

Dan....
Apache Junction is about 60 miles from Casa Grande, so we are a bit closer. Today is April Fool's Day......wonder if one of us will get ours today? I was really surprised to see my picture and story on the PSGA Newsletter. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw it. Take care, and I will let you know what today's mail brings!! Good things come to those who wait.

April 1 , 2003 and I am still in the contest! Anybody else still in the running to be the last person to receive their first issue of PedalSteel.US from the post office?

Still in the contest here... anticipation is ALMOST as bad as whe I was waiting for my push/pull to arrive *laugh*
now if Terry is the last to receive it, that REALLy says a LOT about our postal system *laugh* but woudnt he be disqualified since in all contests "family and employee's of said company are not eligible

Well, I have to drop out of the contest as my copy arrived yesterday (April Fool's Day).
At first glance, it is all I had hoped for. Terry, good job. Better include me in your count for potential subscribers!! Hope the rest of you get yours soon. It was worth the wait.

I'm still in! No magazine in today's mail (4/2/03). The best punishment for the Saddam Hussein regieme (not the regular Iraqi folks) would be to force them to use the USPS for all of their governmental communications.

Well depending on how you look at it I either won or lost. Mine came today.

Hmmm the first contest I was ever in that I WANTED to lose! Still in the running though... oh well, to be positive about it, the time I'd be spending reading is now being put into extra practice time, which is always good...
