The wonder that is Hem shall be bestowed upon these particular locations. I'll be playing steel and dobromabro.

Sat 12 Pittsburgh, PA Club Café
Mon 14 Arlington, VA Iota Club

Apr 29 Isle of Wight, UK Quay Arts Cente
Apr 30 London, UK Borderline
May 1 Bristol, UK St Georges Hall
May 3,4 Kilkenny, IRL Rhythm & Roots Fest

I might be filling in for the elusive Mr JT Hotlicks with Mendoza Line on may 2nd at the Kilkenny fest. It looks like I'll be examining the backstage luncheon meats with Graboff along the way also.

If you have the opportunity to see Hem, by all means, go for it. I saw them last Sunday in Hoboken and it was an extremely enjoyable concert.

Their music has elements of folk, rock, country, & celtic which is blended into their own original style. It is a combination of accoustic and electric that works well as it all weaves together into a flowing tapestry......(somebody shoot me, please).

The music and songs are attention keeping, the vocalist (she) is wonderful, and everyone is really tight. Bob's steel is flowing and prominent to the perfect degree. He really has great tone on his Emmons, and also on his Guernsey resonator (that I got to pick a bit prior to the show).

Bob, I'm pretty much into "hot" music these days. I'm a tough audience for a more mellow, thoughtful kind of music as I have a short attention span. Not so in this case. This is a great gig you've got, and you add a key element to it.

BTW, go for the mutton when you're over there..
