He got me started in LA.Every one knew him.He sat in Everywhere.
We recorded a record The Queen Record.Titled.Smoggy
wrote the song.(Bill Rice was his Name).
The recording had,smoogy,Bill mayville,Jim Boatright,and Patsy Montana,Who Hated me.We were to get A double Hamburger for the session.Right.I never received the food,but played everwhere he went,and met so many players (regular guitar) and was always wecolmed.Trying not to out do the Regular guitar player was the Trick.
The Cristy Minstrels put out the record,for the ship.I have never heard it.
I met Jonny Doe, at one Jam session .He sounded like Johnny Cash.Real name Was Darrle Humphree .We did lots of demo's and sent them to Johnny Cash.I don;t think he ever,anything.The recordings did a lot of radio play time ,though.
Back to Smoggy.It really would be nice if some one knew him,on this great FORUM.
