I'm doing some tracking and aside from micing my speakers and also running a line out from the Rev I'd like to run a 2nd line off the VP and through the Black Box to the board for the purpose of mixing in some POD Farm. My question is should the line from the Black Box go into the board "line in" or into the Hi-Z input? Of course the line from the BB is just 1/4" unbalanced. I posted this here instead of the recording forum because it seems like more of an electronics issue.Thanks.--Scott |

I would try the Hi-Z input, and not because it's hi-Z, but because it's more sensitive to an instrument level signal. The line-in is probably looking for a much hotter signal than what comes from a guitar.

Thanks that's what I thought but wasn't sure if the BB might not be giving the signal a big push. But then it normally goes straight into an amp. |
