hey D J
we had a fantastic show!!!!sorry you missed it. Russ and Laney went above and beyond the call of duty . their playing professionalism
and curtesy twards everyone who spoke poked, and joked with them was so rewarding to see .. if anyone could be embassadores for
steel guitar shows, mr. and mrs hicks got my vote. Just when you think how or what we can
do to make the show better or just a succsess
this year everyone , and i mean everyone rises to the occasion. bruce jerry (even lyle) roger, jerome, my boss dale thomas
to many name to mention but you know who you are. THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
see you next year if not sooner |

Hats off to Bruce, Tom (Sr), Tom (Jr), Jerry, and the rest of the team for organizing a great Quad Cities Steel Guitar Show last weekend! The show has found a great new home in the historic Col Ballroom--and I thought the acoustics out front were excellent (good sound crew, too). Much credit needs to also be given to the fine house band that provided backup for many of the artists. And I would echo Tom, Jr's comments about Russ and Laney--excellent performance and stage presentation! Hope we see them back in Iowa at future steel guitar shows. The many volunteers who prepared the very tasty food selection also need to be recognized. As with any successful show, it's the total team effort that counts! ...Lefty |

I had an enjoyable time playing with an excellent house band. What a notable place to play in, also. The food was very good (I darted over to the desert line when I heard they were half-price). |
