Yes, it would look pretty dumb on stage, but I bet it would work!

Paint it black and add a thick cushion to the top and nobody (except another steel picker)would know the difference.

Some would probably be afraid it would cool their HOT licks.

The measurements are about the same as a seat too.
Product in Inches (L x W x H): 20.0 x 18.5 x 20.69
It'll hold all your gear, and a couple of six packs.

I have one (haven't used it to play the steel). It doesn't support much weight, so you best be skinny if you gonna sit on it.

That would be great for gigs where you have to bring your own beverages.

I was actually at Lowes yesterday looking for some kind of tool box I could attach legs and a seat to and they had these in the isle.
It's molded right in the plastic, "Do not sit on" but I sat down anyway and it's the perfect height. Don't know how long it would hold up. Plus I would probably get sick of people asking if I had any beer in there.

WE USE "CRAFTSMAN" PLASTIC TOOL BOX . ROLLERS UNDER BACK w/SAME TYPE HANDLE . WILL SUPPORT 200-250lbs.
$50-60 @ K-MART or SEARS . JUST PUT CUSHION ON TOP .
