i just watched Sara Jory playing "mansion on the hill" using a electronic Bow ?
whatever you call that thing it sounded really good
i know one thing for sure ...that girl plays as pretty as she looks !!!

Calvin, it was likely the E-bow. It's an electronic gadget that when laid on one or 2 strings it keeps vibrating those strings continuously. What you get
is a violin or 'strings section' effect. It was popular back in the 70's and 80's.

I used an E-BOW in the 70's on guitar,neat little gadget. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.

Buddy used one on `Mansion` at the St Louis convention in '77. I assume that's where Sara got her inspiration.

David Hartley also uses an Ebow in his Mansion On The Hill video. Must be something about that song ....
