For those of you who may be interested in rack mounting Brad Sarno's Steel Guitar Black Box, here is one approach. The credit for this must go to Jack Conyer. I saw a photo of his rack and the light went on for me. Jack was kind enough to walk me through what he had done and, with a few minor modifications, the photo below shows the end result.

All the parts necessary were acquired from Musicians' Friend with the exception of the last item. I found it at my local hardware store. Here is the material list:

1 ea Universal Component Rack Shelf (1 space)
1 ea Flat Steel Rack Panel (1 space)
1 ea GeorgeL's Effects Pedal Cable Kit
1 ea 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" Shelf Bracket

Remove the feet from the SGBB and mount it to the shelf using the two threaded inserts in the bottom of the SGBB. I had a local sheet metal shop fold the rack panel down 90 degrees and then relieve 1/8" from the bottom edge of the panel (from the fold down) so that it would clear the shelf underneath. I left about 1/4" between the panel and the SGBB as a cable run. The finish cracked at the fold, so I had the panel refinished (powder coated) by a local shop. The shelf bracket was used to anchor the bottom end of the folded panel to the shelf down inside the case. The cable kit was used to make all the connections from the SGBB to the guitar, the volume pedal and the tuner. It makes a very neat package.

I've had my Black Box in my rack for a number of years. Very similar arrangment. Also have my Goodrich Match-Bro there too.
