I just recieved a note form Al Vanderpool about the next Quarterly Steel Show. The date is March 5, 2010 at 7:30 pm. The location is the same as it has been for some time now and that is the Providence Christian Chruch at Brannon Crossing Center just off Nicholasville Road, South of Lexington.
He has a fine group of players lined up for the show. Most have performed for us at previous shows except Chris Castle. I think this is his first time. (Correct me if I am wrong).
Bob Sexton is on the schedule along with Joe Gierlach, and Jerry Overstreet.
The backup band consists of: Glenn Phillips on lead guitar, Winston May on bass, and Ray Baker on Drums. Al will probably join in on lead guitar as well.
A warm welcome to Chris from the heart of the bluegrass.

Just a reminder about the Central Kentucky Steel Guitar Club quarterly regional show on Friday. Come and join us if you can. I know Al would appreciate the support as would the featured players. Good fellowship and steel guitar music.
Boogie is planning to come with me and will be helping me on my set if he feels like it. Looking forward to visiting with Shoe, Al and the folks there.
