Thank you very much to Billy Carr and Gary Carpenter for your great service and quick replies to my calls! I'm having a blast with the new steel and it's playing great! This is my first PSG, but the tones I'm getting out of my equipment (very familiar with it too) is fantastic and if I could play as well as this instrument would allow, I'd be even better off than I am! Packs up nice for the trip to practice too...way better than the Rhodes, Les Paul n' pedal junk and two amps I have to lug with me...super light!

What I humbling and interesting instrument this is. I've been playing conventional six string for ages and C6 lapsteel for about a year and a half, and nothing could prepare me for the challenges ahead, but, I know that I have some good contacts to answer my questions here on the forum and at Rains Guitars!

Can't wait to learn more! I've got an addictive personality when it comes to new toys...though it seems to be a lifestyle choice to play pedal steel well...excited for the challenge!

Prepare for advice inquiries!

Thanks in advance...:P

Pleasure doing business with you, Victor. You're finding out what several other Carpsteel owners already know. The Carp is a great little guitar, great price, all pull changer and several colors to choose from in addition to great service before and after the purchase. The navy and black Carps are my favorite colors. Of course, I hear the red cherry color is a real knockout to. Thanks and call either one of us if you need anything at all. I'll be mailing you a couple of free sets of Frenchy's Steel Mills for E9th, next week. My order just arrived yesterday. Thanks again.

Sounds good! I was actually wondering what gauge strings this thing is running, extra strings seems as good a way as any to find out!

Thanks Billy!

I wish they'd make a 12 string version.
