FS: Ceriatone Expression Amp, Avatar 212 Cab w/ Alnico Blue

Post by Jason Spell »

*Ceriatone Expression, built by Nik. Very slick! This amp sounds incredible. Its got 6v6s in it, and a half power switch.

This amp has got the best tone of any amp I've ever heard, honestly, but I need something more controllable. Not even more controllable, but just more suitable for more of the metal tones as well as the crisp cleans, blues, jazz, country sounds this amp shines at. Its a very luscious tone, and extremely gainy like an old Marshall head once you get the volume to 9 o'clock or greater. Rolling back the volume on the guitar cleans up the sound to sparkling Fender clean.

I'll potentially sacrifice a bit of tone if I can have the ability to switch channels or have reverb or get it quieter. Its LOUD even on half power! THIS AMP IS LOUD. Switching to 12AT7s or 12AU7s cleans up the amp noticably.

The Zebrawood cabinet is gorgeous.

$800

I've also got an Avatar 212 speaker cab listed with a Celestion Alnico Blue and a Warehouse Black and Blue speaker for $400. If you buy both, I'll throw in a speaker cable and knock the price down to $1100.

Here's a video I made when I got the amp:

I don't have the camera anymore, so I can't make another. All the tonal variations you hear in the video are just me switching pickups and messing with the tone knob on the guitar. Yes, you're correct, it is a Telecaster - you can really hear the character of whatever guitar you plug into it. Please pay no attention to the playing, just the tone.
