I thought I'd show off a recently completed instrument. I've always liked the classic good looks of the
National New Yorker, so decided to make my homage to that great design. It plays and sounds superb. Here's a link to some beauty shots.

Leroy,
Very nice attention to detail. I particularly like the Tone Knob, very cool retro feel to it.
Thanks for the pix.

Wow! Any stories on the build?

Very nice job! The guitar itself looks just like the New Yorker. It looks like there's a 2nd pickup (humbucker?) under the cover. Does the 'tone' control blend between the two?

Thanks guys. I added some photos, and comments, taken during the construction process.

HI LEROY,
Nice job and attention to detail.
Did the original "New Yorker" have the so called
"Chicken Head" knobs?

I believe they did. I have some chicken head knobs I was going to use, but liked the look of these Radio Shack knobs better. Again, I wasn't trying to make a faithful copy, just get the essence of the original.
