SE Texas Steel Guitar Club Meeting

The next meeting will be Sunday, Feb. 23rd. at the M.U.D. #81 Bldg. In Katy, Tex. at 3:00 PM. Take I-10 to Katy. Exit on Mason Rd. Go south on Mason Rd. to Cimarron Pkwy.(5th. light) Turn right on Cimarron Pkwy. to Hidden Valley St.(about 3 blocks). Turn left on Hidden Valley and another immediate left into the parking area. The building is on the SE corner of Cimarron Pkwy. and Hidden Valley. Featured player will be Billy Phelps. All players should be there and set up by 2:00 PM as we want to have a pre-show meeting before the actual meeting starts. Anyone is invited to attend this meeting. Everyone please make an effort to attend so as to keep our club alive. See you there. Jody, Bob, and Billy.

Hey Jody, it was great getting together for dinner with you and Bobby. As I mentioned, I'll try to attend, depending on the time I get out of the rodeo gig......you guy scared me half to death with the horror stories about this gig....ha, ha! Hope to see you on Sunday. This month's jam/meeting was great! Billy Phelps was never better! This guy is phenominal (spelling?) Billy, as many of you know, works the Carter room at all the shows and he mentioned that he will be demo-ing the new Carter wood neck guitar at the Texas show in two weeks. Billy sings and plays his own backup which keeps him from having the steel player play over his lines.
