Saw Joe Wright this afternoon at The Ice House in Selma, NC and am so glad I made the drive. Clyde Mattock's band "Without Further Ado" did the first set w/a guest fiddler and she played, sang and looked good doing it too. Of course, Clyde and the boys represented well and backed upped JW's set too! Joe was all I expected and the place was packed with music loving, non smoking and drinking good people whom I enjoyed being with and talking to. Steelers from this area of NC were there too and I was able to talk to a few of them before making the drive back home. All in all, a very nice Sunday afternoon. Thanks y'all. WB

he puts on a great show...but...don't forget his teaching material...he has some free stuff available which has helped me more than all the material i've ever paid for...

| Just because you've seen Joe once doesn't mean you've seen his "show". Joe flys by the seat of his pants so to speak, and every show has a different twist. Go see him as often as you can. |

I've had the distinct prievilege of knowing Joe for quite a few years now...and also playing for his show on keys and bass a few times. His show always knocks me out. He's a tremendous performer....he'll keep you in stitches with his rare breed of comedy, and will bring tears to your eyes with the beautiful way he plays those gospel songs that he usually closes his show with.
