Hello all...Is there a way to compress MP-3 files for emailing. I have not been successful with this at all, and a regular MP3 music file can be kinda huge. Thanks for the help....AL

MP3 files are already compressed. You will likely get no (or very little) further reduction in size from compressing them to ZIP or RAR formats.

Rather than emailing them to a person, put them on a web site and send the person a link to the MP3 on that site.

Another alternative is to use Sendspace or similar file transfer sites to host your MP3 file.

If it's not over 10MB, and most aren't, it'll usually go thru OK in an email.
I remember the old days on USENET when songs had to be downloaded, with a dial-up connection, in several parts and then recombined when you got all the parts. Took like an hour to get just one 3-minute song.

Dropbox has 2 gb free use, just give the password to the person on the other end and you can get pretty instant sharing.
