I believe this to be a Maverick but have not seen one this color? The serial number is 14833. It looks to have black ends. The wood underneath is birdseye. Any help is appreciated and suggestions on how well this one is built. A friend of mine is looking at it to practice and learn on and I didn't have the answers to his questions.

If someone painted it they did a nice job because it has a really good finish. The birdseye might look good underneath it. BUT ITS STILL A MAVERICK>>>LOL _________________ Michael Douchette's Franklin; Sho~Bud Fingertip D12; Sho Bud S10 6139 Serial #2911;1973 Fender Twin Reverb Silverface; Fender Cyber Twin; VZ Custom Telecaster; Epi Les Paul Custom Silverburst; Epi DOT; Copley Acoustic; Copley Acoustic Bass; Hammond E311 Organ; 1941 Chickering Baby Grand Piano, formerly owned by John Prine; 1921 Chickering Baby Grand 100th Anniv Quarter Grand |

I just bought one of these today in Canada for $250 and it has a burly maple finish and is in excellent condition. The only problem is it is missing the right side tuning keys (rack) anyone know where I can get replacement keys. |

Jamie...That is indeed a Maverick. Somewhere along the line someone stripped off the "burl walnut" contact paper and gave it a refinish, appears to have been done fairly well. |
