I have a 71 and 75 Sho Bud and am wondering about the pull rods up under it. What size are they and can they be purchased locally any place ? Also, what is the correct die size for the threads so the spring loaded end hook ups and lock nut will thread on correctly. The best I can tell from my set would be a M5 0.8 maybe ?
Any info appreciated. Thanks. Bill Myrick. |

The servo rods for a remote control plane might work and be available locally. There is a tool called a zbender that preform the end into the special little curve. A die for the threads. _________________ I'd rather be pickin' |

Bill, your blue Shobud has 7/64" pull rods. I have that size rod, just need to know what you need.

Jerry sent me an email wanting to know what I was doing and I wrote back and told him I was adding the C neck back on the LDG he refurbed for me and Carlene tells me he passed out cold. Had to pat his hands to bring him around --
No really--all I am doing is experimenting with how I could cut and thread a rod with my set I have now and maybe Lowes or somebody carried a rod of similar size to experiment on before I ruin a good one. By the way---the LDG plays and sounds absolutely top of the line and is beautifully redone -- |
