Jamie,

About 18 months and 255 responses, it was bound to stray away from the topic. I don't see where that does any harm. We got you here, that's the main thing. You're a good picker I've watched your videos. Now you've moved here, but you booking over in the UK and Ireland, that's the way it goes.

Did Georgette try singing them a few bars of "I Don't Wanna Play House or DIVORCE? That should have eliminated the need for the quiz. Smile

You moved, you seem happy, you're playing good music, paying the bills, got a good sweetie by your side, .... it don't get much better than that. Congratulations. Smile

What Rick said!

b0b had no choice once that strange guy interjected some needless venom, but we felt that matters of immigration were very much 'on topic', and germane to the discussion.

I'm sure everything will continue to go well for you both.

I don't think it strayed very much off-topic. All steelers thinking of living and playing abroad should be aware of what they're going to encounter. There was never any intention to "hijack" the thread. Jamie, I recommend that you change the title of this post to "Jamie Moving to Nashville (continued)".

Jamie, why not have Georgette do the tour without pay, have you back her on steel, and have them pay what they would have paid to her to you. Then you could pay her in the U.S.
When she and you are performing in the U.S. they could pay Georgette a fee for her and her steel player, which she could pay over to you later. Very Happy
