well,,,, new to me anyway
Just firmed up the deal over the phone..
6140 with 3 pedals removed, and 4 levers added.. Looks like the pulls are still there for the pedals, so I will need to find 3 pedals and make up a few rods.. The rack and barrel setup is good and solid, stays in tune better than some other Bud pull systems, if I remember correctly{I had a 6140 years ago], and the best part is the great sounding old Bud coil tap pickup, with on the on deck switch and knobs is all intact.. I do believe this is a round front, but am not positive... Not sure I I have seen a 6140 in a squarefront, maybe vintage Bud fans can enlighten me. Doesn't matter if its a squarefront, I would have bought it anyway.
This will be my 6th pro model Bud.. All the others are gone, mostly due to tuning stability issues that I refuse to deal with... The R&B Buds are my favorites despite the inherent "clankiness" in the undercarriage. They sound so sweet, play well, and the copedent flexability is terrific.
She will sit alongside my sweet old Fender 800, but may displace my Carter as my on stage #1, if its real well behaved.
Wish me well!.. Here she is,, pics are not too good.
