Fulltone Tube Tape Echo--Sold Pending Payment

Post by Jason Fox »

Sold Pending Payment

I've had this item on the local craigslist for a while, and thought I'd give you all an opportunity to check it out.

I purchased this Fulltone TTE from a Denver area Guitar Center (it was on consignment) about two years ago. It was built in 2004 and has been played lightly in the studio.

This TTE comes with:

-Newly installed tape cartridge featuring Fulltone's silent bearing mechanism to reduce tape noise during operation.
-Reinforced Fulltone brand carrying case (great for gigs)
-Footswitch

The tape heads are clean, the tubes have plenty of life in them, and the tone is incredible.

The current "buy it now" price on Ebay for one of these used units is around $850. So how about $750 shipping included?

If anyone's actually interested in this TTE, I might also consider trades.

Joe,

as far as trades go -- I don't have anything in mind. I'm always looking for amplifiers, and I'm also saving up for a pedal steel, in which case the TTE might be a nice partial trade.

Shoot!

Dave,

the tube tape echo works by recording a signal onto a tape and then playing it back. The distance between the record and playback tape heads determines the frequency between echoes. There is also an erase head which manipulates the number of echo repeats -- from one single slap-back style echo, to a wave of echoes and even self oscillation.

Check out some videos on youtube.com for demonstrations. Here's one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW54TX4Pwl8

Thanks,
Jason

Dang! If I only had the scratch.
They had one of these at a recording studio I was working at once. Sounded so good I used it on every track. I have never seen one this cheap before.

Tape Echo

Post by Darrell Owens »

Jason,

I received the Fulltone today and I totally satisfied with it. It works great and I appreciate you packing it right and sending it promptly.

This Tape Echo took me back to the old Echoplex days, and I forgot how great they sounded. I am ready for some Hill-billy Rockin' now!

Thanks again.
