Just heard the latest releases of two super players who have recently confirmed to play the Dallas TSGA Jamboree, Russ Hicks, and Bill Stafford.

Stafford's CD includes different arrangements of several classics played in a different style that you don't normally expect to hear from Bill. After hearing them I wished I had thought of them first.(of course I couldn't play them like Bill even if I had thought of them).

The arrangements might have been different but nothing that diminishes the big smooth sound of Bill on his 14 string guitar.

Russ Hicks new CD was loaded with several originals. Brother! Here is another guy that is full of different ideas, all of them great. Even though I got several hints that he might be hanging around Jimmy Crawford, Russ definitely has his ideas played only the way he can play them. This recording will blow you away.

Even got to hear Laney do one of her great songs. Russ was that really you singing on the last song?? I think you play steel better.

Great job gentlemen.
