Did you see True Country on RFD this weekend? They had Heather Miles ,James Hand and Jake Hooker on the first episode.Great show and we need more like it. Is it just me but is there a possible revival of traditional country music going on? A few years ago we did'nt have the RFD channel or Willie's Place.I think their going to have a special Opry show featuring traditional country music. One can hope.

Yeah it was OK. They need more of Jake Hooker. More of what is played in Texas today in the dance halls. Where do they come off having a Texas show with a Bakersfield host? Did you notice during the steel lead on one of Heather's songs, she pointed at the keyboard player? Maybe it was nerves.
Alright I know it is easy find fault. I will be interested in seeing what they do down the road. Great band with Jim, Bobby and Jake.

They certainly have a lot of great artist to draw from if the show grows and gains an audience. It looks like the line-up is made up already and will feature mostly "Heart of Texas labeled artist.I don't see anything wrong with someone from Bakersfield MCing the show.(being myself a Californian)
.Whatever it takes to feature and promote true Country music is OK with me..The shows off the ground, now its time to voice support. Can't go wrong with Jim and Bobby on that stage.

I think it's great to have a show like this! Awesome band, great singers, great setting!!
The only complaint I have is I wish it was an hour long with less comercials. Other than that....I love it!!

Like the rest of ya'll -- more music less talk. There's more music on their website promo. Can't wait for Darrel and Mona this next week.
Wish someone would have them spell Jim's name right on their end of show credits.. Over the years I've seen Jim's last name spelled a dozen ways; but there's no mistaking his touch and tone!!!
Besides all that, its GREAT to have some national exposure to these Texas treasures..

Don't forget that most of the artists on trucountry have music available for download at
www.buckatune.net
There's also lots of instrumentals (including steel guitar!) and even rhythm tracks.
Check it out!

Enjoyed it a lot. My only concern is that the artist/playlist thing is somewhat limited, and therefore might be harder to sustain over a significant period of time. Also thought Jim L. looked strangely out of place in his business suit, but maybe that's just Jim.

Barry....a few of the Texas bands are in to suits and ties , Billy Mata's Texas Tradition and Jake Hookers Outsiders. Plus , don't forget who Jim Loessberg has been playing for.....It's mandatory.

I have no problem with Jim's attire, only that IMO, it looked somewhat out of place among all the Nudie-style outfits worn by the others. Apparently, nobody called him!

Maybe he isn't comfortable playing in the Nudie.
