First I can't say enough about Tom's craftsmanship and follow up customer service.. You da man... Cool

My oldest wanted a lap steel for Christmas, so I had Tom Pettingill cut and glue up the Walnut/Maple body. I got it in the raw form ready for finish, electronics, etc..

I shot two light coats of T-O cut 2 to 1 with mineral spirits per day, sanded with 1000 the next morning and repeated the process until it was filled and level. Next, I let it cure about a week and polished it out with Stewmac compound and polish.

No sunshine here for the last few days so I had to shoot inside with natural light, but these will give you an idea of how it turned out..

Tom was nice enough to do a headstock inlay with the letter F (last name).

Kenny is really pleased with it.... Wink

Thanks again Tom for help along the way..
