TUNE IN 98.9 FM Rocky Mount, N.C. YOU WILL FIND A PLEASANT SURPRISE, Real Classic Country.
Just made a Trip to Charleston,S.C. and Found this Station. Picked it up Loud and Clear From Edenton, N.C. Almost to The S.C. Border on I-95.
I would Think you could pick it up from the Virginia State Line to S.C. on I-95.
You don't hear Classic Country Radio like this anymore. |

Ya those are nice surprises when you find them on the road. Came across one traveling thru west Texas last month. Then they just fade away. |

I believe that's "The Bear" you are talking about my friend. I listen to it everyday. This radio station plays only true country, ranging from Jimmie Rodgers to Alan Jackson. Except for few exceptions, you will not here many songs that was made after about 1995. It's the best station I've heard in ages and has the most dedicated and loyal listeners anywhere you'll find.
I listen to all the people calling in to the station and to my surprise there is a great hunger for real country music out there. And the popularity of the Bear has really grown in the past two years especially. |

98.9 is the Bear. They have an alternate frequency which is 97.9. Traveling around eastern North Carolina, I switch to whichever has the best signal at the time. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |
